How does my skin tan? The Sun and Melanin

Tanning is a process of skin darkening caused by an increase in the body pigment melanin. Melanin is found in the cells of the epidermis and synthesized by solar radiation. Tanning occurs differently in each person and its intensity varies depending on each individual’s genetic make-up. However, after intense and repeated exposure to sunlight, some alterations may occur which can lead to a less even tan. Do you want to have a deeper and heathier tan?
